Records Retention
Patterson Record Storage offers customers easy and cost-effective retention management solutions to ensure records in storage are shredded once they reach their retention date.
Records Retention procedures are designed to ensure that all records are maintained in compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements while minimizing the costs associated with storing unnecessary or outdated information. Our records retention procedures establishe consistent guidelines for retaining, reviewing, and securely disposing of records based on customer-specified retention periods. By following these standards, the organization promotes accountability, operational efficiency, and protection of sensitive information throughout the entire records management lifecycle.
Under this process, customers inform the company of the specific retention date for each record, which is then entered into the Total Recall Management System. As the retention date approaches, office staff are automatically notified, and the customer is advised of the upcoming date. Records are only destroyed once explicit customer permission is received, ensuring full transparency and control. Upon authorization, secure destruction procedures are carried out to guarantee that all records are disposed of in a confidential and compliant manner.
